Siva Mayam urumi melam was established in 2010. A percussion group dedicated to the cultural aspect of Indian traditions. We take pride in expressing ourselves in forms of drumming and singing.
Siva mayam has been involved in religious/ cultural works with many institutions. We have collaborated with various cultural and religious groups over the years. Siva mayam involves in many charities and volunteering services to give back to the community. Darshan was founded in 2012 by Ms Kamariah Yusuf with the primary intention of nurturing dedicated Bharathanatyam enthusiasts. At Darshan, dance education not only involves rigorous training in the theory and practice of Bharathanatyam. Students are also expected to take part in community events to give back to society. These events also give students an opportunity to work with performers from different backgrounds and better appreciate Singapore’s diverse multi-ethnic fabric. Operating in Bedok and Tampines, Darshan has a total of 80 students ranging from ages 5 to 40.

Singapore Khalsa Association (SKA) was the brainchild of a few schoolboys of Raffles Institution during the mid-1920’s. In the absence of a Sikh organization for sports and culture, these sports enthusiasts took it upon themselves, with the backing of several adults, to establish Khalsa Association. Gurdwaras functioned, as most still do, as a place of worship and of social functions. Fueled with the need to establish a sports club, for their own community, the SKA was established on 8 May 1931. Today it has become a formidable institution for Sikhs in particular to partake and hone their sporting skills.
